Loboc, Bohol

My trip to Bohol didn´t start very well...it began with that I was going to take the ferry from Cebu. I went up early in the morning to catch the first ferry but when I arrived at the pier around 6 a clock the ferry was already fullbooked because of the celebrations of holy week and I had to wait 3 hours before I could go.

When I arrived in Bohol I first took the tricycle, then the jeepney and after that the motorcycle to reach the hotel that I booked. When I finally got there the room that I already paid for turned out to be dubblebooked..not a very nice surprise after having to travel the hole day...the funny thing was that when I did the booking it said that they hade three more rooms still available but the guests in the room that I booked already arrived there the day before me...anyway I got help to book another (not very nice) hotel room and after some problems I also got my money back from the other hotel.

The next issue was that I was supposed to meet up with a friend in Bohol but since he lost his phone the day before I didn't have any chance to reach him. I didn't know when he would arrive either so I had to tell the guy from the first place to send my friend to the other hotel when he got there...all a mess and very stressfull but it all ended up well in the end!

The place I never got the chance to stay at:

We decided to rent a motorbike to explore the island, first stop was to see the tarsiers:

Sleepy tarsier that got disturbed by my phototaking:

Man Made Forest:

When we were on the motorcycle on our way to chocolate hills we passed a religious proccession

Arrived in chocolate hills but it was already to dark to take pictures when we got there ;)

Next day we went to try the zipline!

Had a great view over the river!

Loboc River

Night views from Alona beach:

Took a ride along the coast to reach Anda beach

This trip didn't turn out exactly the way we expected...firstly it was a lot longer trip then we thought and after we had been going for quite a while we felt there was something strange with the motorbike so we decided to stop at the gas station to check what was wrong...when we got there they looked at the wheel and showed us that 10 of the spokes were broken! They said we could get it fixed just 50 meters ahead and Paul asked if we could drive the motorbike there but they told us; No no no...so I guess we were really lucky to stop on time and not get in to an accident!

Finally got to Anda beach:

Views along the way:

In the night we saw a tree full of fireflies, unfotunately it's not very easy to catch it on photo so this is the best I could do:

The outcome of going on the motorbike in the sun for a few days:

Had a great time going around Loboc and it was a nice change driving by motorbike, deciding ourselves where, when and how to go! Next mission is to learn how to drive the motorbike myself ;D

Malapascua

My trip to Malapascua started with a busride early in the morning and about 5 hours later I reached the island. The captain of the boat offered me a room and after that I went on a walk to see the island and ask about the tresher shark dives which was the reason I choose to go to Malapascua, and also of course that I heard that its a beautful island!

Everywhere you can see and hear roosters since "cookfights" is considered a national sport in Philippines. The fights are between two roosters held in a ring with sharp razor blades fixed on their leg, the roosters fight until one of them dies or is critically injured. I never attended one of those fights since I´m far to sensitive to watch the animals get hurt like that.

Went to dinner and ordered a mango daquiri for drink

As soon as I finished my meal I had the company of a cat at the table trying to find some leftovers

I found a diving school and booked the morningdive for the next day to see the tresher sharks. Went to bed for an early night's sleep, excited about the diving. Got up at 4 in the morning to go for the dive but when I was sitting in the boat I suddenly realized that I was wearing my eyeglasses and I didn't have any contact lenses..nothing to do but to take off the glasses to be able to wear the snorkle mask..went down under the water, and yes there was tresher sharks there but unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to see them...! Totally waste of money and very typical for me to do such a stupid thing..

My visit in Malapascua was short and didn't exactly turned out the way I planned but it's a very beautiful island that I'm glad I went to see!
